This is the first project where acmet  ventured into developing for compiler for a DSP. Though acmet  had a good compiler expertise, before this project, it had developed / maintained compilers for micro-controllers and micro-processors only. Compiler for a DSP is more complex as it has to exploit most of the features in a DSP. The team first studied the DSP concepts; the team was built from scratch. The project used incremental development model and the development phases were well coordinated to finish the project on time.

This is a project where customer wanted a validation of a compiler that has been in the market for quite some time and was considered very stable. The customer requirement was to locate 5 critical defects in the compiler within 2 months. This was a challenge as the compiler had already passed various levels of testing. acmet's huge test base and effective planning of tasks to suit the given timeline helped acmet  meet this challenge.

This was the first project from where acmet  started using Object Oriented Programming using C++. Prior to this project, all projects were implemented in C language. Since the requirement from the customer was very brief, the team developed a prototype to form the product concept and to fix the requirements. This project used incremental development model.

In this project, acmet  had to implement additional features on a C compiler that was already released to the market by our customer. Most of the additional features were derived from customer feedback. This project gave the team the experience of handling a legacy code. The development process was carefully handled to ensure that that the new features added does not make the compiler instable.
